Dodging dead race cars!! | Castle Combe | Race 2 | Kumho BMW

It's 10th June 2023 and Castle Combe is sweltering in 29 degree heat. So what could be better than pulling on 3 layers of Nomex and strapping yourself into a dark grey metal box? This is the 2nd race of the Kumho BMW Championship and our 4th outing of the day. We're also racing in the Classic Touring Cars Thunder Saloons this weekend. The way the timetable works out is this Saturday has 2 lots of qualifying and 3 races. Busy doesn't quite cover it!

Frustratingly, both camera systems failed in the first Kumho race of the day, which is a real shame as it was proper bumper to bumper racing with James Card and Bryan Bransom in the mid 1:09 lap times. Sadly James had a throttle issue on the last lap which brought an end to the fun but did mean we won. So we start this race on pole.

As always, onboard commentary is recorded live. These are my unedited thoughts as we race around the best circuits in the UK. No race day footage from BARC this weekend but will be back for the next round at Thruxton.
