HIDDEN GEM! Reviewing Sushi W's $38 Omakase in NYC

When most people think of omakase, they think of paying exorbitant prices for dinner and a show. There are more affordable omakase joints like Sushi Nakazawa, where a counter seat goes for $180 per person. The limit is Masa's $1,000 omakase. It seems that omakase in NYC is just not an affordable experience and you have to rich and/or willing to splurge to experience it.

But that's where Sushi W comes in. Sushi W breaks the mold by not only offering omakase for below $100, but Sushi W charges just $38 for its lunch omakase for a 12 set meal. Very reasonable price considering you are getting the food prepared for you right before your eyes!

The question though is, is Sushi W actually worth it or is it just cheap sushi and nothing more? All of the best sushi restaurants in NYC and the most famous sushi restaurants in NYC charge a pretty penny. Is it just normal to expect quality to cost more in sushi?
