IHE Delft 💧 Interview with PhD fellow Taha Al-Washali

Описание к видео IHE Delft 💧 Interview with PhD fellow Taha Al-Washali

Taha AL-Washali is an environmental engineer from Yemen. He worked with several international organizations and the ministry of water and environment in Yemen. His research focuses on developing tools and methods that enable water utilities in developing countries to manage and minimize losses in water distribution networks in the Middle East and Africa. He is trying to enable water utilities to understand the nature of their losses and plan corrective measures. Taha developed a novel way of looking at non-revenue water components that can be useful and re-usable in water supply systems in developing countries. He thinks that IHE Delft only looks small from the outside. Yet from the inside, it is deep, diverse and an international environment where people interact to develop and broaden the knowledge of future water ‘musketeers’.After completing his PhD, he would like to sharpen his experience and skills and go back to Yemen to help build the future with peace and development.
