Getting Rained out at The 5th Annual Standing Horse Route 66 Pow Wow in Winslow Arizona

Описание к видео Getting Rained out at The 5th Annual Standing Horse Route 66 Pow Wow in Winslow Arizona

Scattered thunderstorms throughout the day! We took a few rain pauses to let the rain pass. Rain started coming down after the grand entry, so I put my camera away during the intertribals where each of the drums sings one song.

At the very end of the video, we watch the biggest rain cloud approach, and we literally don’t do anything until it’s too late! I decided to stop recording, and by the time I turn around and leave the circle, rain was pouring, and everyone was running back to their vehicles! My mom and I ended up leaving at that point, heading back to Phoenix. I heard that the heavy rain lasted an hour and the pow wow ended at that point. There were a few specials that were not danced.

As a photographer, the clouds were a natural light diffuser for the sun, and my photos came out fantastic! I share only a few of the photos I’ve taken on Instagram, and most of my photos are sent out to the people in them for free! I tell everyone I don’t do anything with my images other than what you see on Instagram! I’m mainly here for YouTube, and I absolutely enjoy sending photos out to my new pow wow friends!

NEXT I'm heading to Crownpoint New Mexico for The Eastern Navajo Fair Parade & Pow Wow! I hope I can find a good spot to record from, hopefully I can find the main stage and be invited to record on stage, just like The Iwo Jima Veterans Parade in Sacaton Arizona! If youre reading this, please send my a DM on instagram and I'll be more than happy to get some photos for you!

Until next time 🤙
