The campaign and subsequent election of singer Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine to Parliament as Kyaddondo East caused quite a bit of excitement.

On the day he was sworn into Parliament, Kyagulanyi's supporters painted Kampala city red and the new MP himself also engaged in a cat and mouse game with the police.

Elsewhere, Kawempe South MP Mubarak Munyagwa is eyeing the presidency of the opposition Forum for Democratic Change party. He has grand plans for the party.
