Security operatives carry off MPs from chambers

In scenes reminiscent of 1966 when then President of Uganda Milton Obote forced through Parliament the 1966 pigeon hole constitution, security operatives stormed the chambers of Parliament to evict MPs who the Speaker had suspended. The operatives, believed to be from the elite Special Forces Command that guards the president, forcefully removed the MPs from the chamber, one by one amidst resistance. The Speaker suspended the MPs for violating House rules on Tuesday ahead of the anticipated motion for a draft bill to amend the 75-year presidential age limit from the constitution.
