That legend is called "Chang'e Flies to the Moon". Who is Chang'e, and why did she go to the moon?

The story ends with two lines: "May we live long and share this beautiful moon together, even if we are thousands of miles apart." These lines come from a poem called "Water Melody: Head of the Tune" written by Su Shi, a poet from the Song Dynasty (also known as Su Dongpo). He wrote this poem to express his longing for his brother. These two lines mean that we should break through the limitations of time and space, and hope that those we miss are safe and well.
