Описание к видео Cloves! 🌳 unique spice for masala tea, mango rice balls, star fish patties & more..

I spent my Nursery years with my grandmother. There was a clove tree with a height of 25 feet at my mother’s grand home at that time. I have no clue on the person who had planted it. One thing I could remember is, my grandmother used to handpick the cloves early mornings before she swept the garden. She collected them into winnowing fan. I could still remember the fresh fragrance of clove flowers and I am used to it. But I had a matter always why those flowers were dried under sun and stored them in a bottle. Apart from that my grandmother used to keep that bottle in the coffer. When my mother visited the grand home, grandmother used to give some dried clove flowers from that bottle. Though I had the question from my childhood, I didn’t want to ask the reason. I had my own thoughts that those weren’t good for little children. 😃
This clove tree was planted in the middle of a tea plantation and it is a bit far from the village. There were clusters of cloves that everyone would love to see. The cloves which were put to dry were protected from the unstoppable rain with much effort.
Cardamom and cloves are like twins. They are going together. We used to learn them as rhyming words. Very aromatic chicken curry, fried potatoes along with the dish of starfish and the spicy masala tea made everyone’s evening a pleasure one. ⭐☕
I prepared Bibikkan (a type of coconut cake) after very long time. The bibikkan is so yummy tough it’s made only when the coconut and flour mixed with jaggery or treacle along with cardamom, cloves, cumin and even not having other ingredients. The other way gives the same as well. But you know, though we add a thousands of ingredients but not having treacle and fragrances, the Bibikkan doesn’t give you’re the real taste and vibe. The bibikan are heavenly when the mixture gets cashew, plums, dates and winter melon candy in it. (Puhul Dosi/name of a sweet) 🍯
What I need now is just a hot cup of tea!🫖
The mango tree near the way to father’s land is full with mangos. I got to pick and fill the empty basket with the mangos. Moya and Saki came along with me. They have got a job to accompany me there. Empty basket taken from home comes back with full of mangos.
I prepared Panipol (Sweet Coconut made with sugar) from mangos that brought in the morning and mixed them with the mixture made with leftover rice and battered with rice flour. I fried them and made a kind of Sweet Cake. (Kawum) That was super yummy and that was my first time trying it. Everyone loved it. 🧆
