This journey to Sarangkot in Pokhara, Nepal, holds a special place in my heart, not just because of the stunning Himalayan views but because of the incredible spirit of my dear friend Alok Singh. Alok is no stranger to mountains; he has conquered many before. But after a heart stroke, the doctors told him that his mountain-climbing days were over. Yet, here we are, climbing together once again—300 steps to reach the majestic Sarangkot Viewpoint.
Guided by the bright and energetic Asheem, we made our way up, hugging the mountains as we climbed, each step filled with determination, hope, and the joy of proving that nothing can hold you back if you believe in yourself. The peace and calmness we felt at the top, looking out over the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu, was simply overwhelming. And to see the city of Pokhara and Phewa Lake from above... it was a moment of pure gratitude.
The people here have been so welcoming, their smiles and warmth touching our hearts. Many even recognized me from my films—what an honor! I’m deeply grateful for the love and kindness we’ve received in this beautiful country.
And let me tell you, Sarangkot is more than just a viewpoint; it’s one of the world’s top spots for paragliding! Whether you’re here to catch the sunrise or soar through the skies, Sarangkot is a place where dreams take flight.
