The most valuable celebration in November was celebrating the 23rd anniversary of our dear Rotaract Club of Aley.
Instead of us expressing, Rotaract Aley expressed to us:
Once upon a time in a town not so large
Souls have gathered willing to take charge
Serving and helping was their goal
Little did they know that this wasn’t all.
On this day last year they decided to express
That being part of this made them become selfless
Today, as i embark my 23rd chapter
It is my turn to express what we capture.
If I am your safe place, you are my guiding stars
Fighting so hard to embrace laughter instead of scars.
If you found comfort and a family, so dear
I found in you commitment and resilience, year after year
If you discovered a home where you truly belong
I discovered the beauty of belonging, forever strong.
If you found love, humbleness and confidence in me
I found in you dedication, empathy and unity you see
If you discovered your strength and your calling’s voice
I uncovered inspiration, purpose and the joy of choice.
Through the pages of my history you’ll turn
In each chapter, new lessons nowhere else you’d learn
In the coming years, our story will write,
Rotaract Aley, shining ever so bright.
In your laughter, your tears, and the hopes you share
In the talents you nurture
In the love you declare
In each moment you dedicate, in every frustration
In the unity you cherish, in your shared inspiration.
So here’s to you, and the years yet to unfold
As you continue to write my story, bold and gold
In your presence, i find strength to renew
Rotaract Aley is always a place for you.
I am a door wide open, a heart warm and bright
On entry, you find love and light
But remember as you explore
Exiting this family, there’s no open door.
I am a door that swings wide open but will never close
In this story, your love endlessly flows
As you stand here, the past and future unite,
You made me a tale of boundless light.
So on my 23rd birthday, this truth i proclaim,
You’ve turned life into art, like a beautiful frame.
If i am the club of your heart, as you phrase
My heart is a puzzle with each one of you having a place.
