If you notice you are losing control of your shoulder blade when you do rotator cuff exercises, you need to start working on your serratus anterior. Many people retract the shoulder blade when they externally rotate at the shoulder. To improve this the best place to start is scapula presses against the wall and then progress to the floor, load and then open chain. Watch the whole video to see the progression.
