Aurangzeb dreamed of an Islamic India. He was told that if he is successful in converting Kashmiri Pandits to Islam, the whole of India would convert. Hence began his ruthless tourture and genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in his conquest of Hind. When Aurangzeb began torturing Kashmiri Pandits, to free themselves, a group of Kashmiri Pandits met Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji in Delhi and told him about their sufferings and how they were being forcibly converted. When Guru went to talk with Aurangzeb, he was arrested and was forced to convert to Islam. Guru attained martyrdom when refused to convert to Islam and was executed publicly by beheading in Delhi on 11 November under the orders of Aurangzeb.
