The Kader Toy Factory Disaster | The Worst Industrial Factory Fire In History

On May 10,1993, a fire broke out at the Kader Toy Factory in Thailand. It is thought to be the worst industrial factory fire in history, with 188 people killed and 469 injured. Young female workers from rural families made up the majority of the victims. Despite the fact that more people were killed than in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, the incident received little international coverage.

Buildings Two and Three had sounded their fire alarms, and all of the workers in these buildings were able to flee before the flames spread to them. However, fire departments from Nakhon Pathom and Bangkok were able to put out fires in buildings two and three before they were completely destroyed.

Even with the help of hydraulic cranes, removing all of the victims' bodies from the rubble took several days.
