The Path of Centering Prayer: Deepening Your Experience of God - David Frenette

David Frenette, a longtime practitioner of Centering Prayer and friend of Fr. Thomas Keating, opens up the essence of his classic book “The Path of Centering Prayer,” which Fr. Carl Arico has described as brilliant.

David presents insights from his faithful practice of Centering Prayer, touching upon an expanded view of the sacred word, sacred breath, sacred glance, and sacred nothingness. He advises that we not see just stages of the spiritual journey, but the beauty of the seasons of the spiritual journey.

Contemplative attitudes and actions which comes through the practice of Centering Prayer include gentleness, embracing God in all things, letting go, applying the practice to everyday events, and trusting that God is with us in all of life no matter what the situation is.
