Standing Rear Body Lock: Counters, Attacks and Defense (No Gi BJJ/Jiu-Jitsu/MMA/Judo):

Описание к видео Standing Rear Body Lock: Counters, Attacks and Defense (No Gi BJJ/Jiu-Jitsu/MMA/Judo):

How do you counter the standing rear body lock? That’s our focus today - one of the worst places to find yourself when you’re working no gi jiu-jitsu in the standing position. Because you’re not facing your partner, you can’t use many of the most common defenses and attacks - you can’t maintain distance easily, can’t post or frame and can’t see what’s going on. For our counters we’re going to use the figure-4 (kimura) grip to manage the one place we know we can see - our partner’s arms. Once you’ve locked up the kimura you have a number of good attack options. You can remain standing and look to submit, or you can commit yourself down to the mat in order to work without worrying about being taken down yourself. This set of attacks is a great way to develop confidence from the front of this bad position!
