The Severn Valley Railway - 2014 Spring Steam Gala - 22nd March

The second visit of the year to the Severn Valley Railway, and this time it was for their annual Spring Steam Gala. The gala was to feature an all Western cast, including the likes of 7828 'Odney Manor' from the West Somerset Railway, and Pannier no.1638 from the Kent and East Sussex Railway. As well as resident Small Prairie no.4566, who had recently undergone a repaint into BR Unlined Black livery, and very smart she looks too! The weather for the day was somewhat inconsistent, with sun, rain, wind and even hail at some point I think. That still didn't stop it from being a superb day out though.
