[Guitar Lesson] Hirajoshi Scales, Modes & Licks

Описание к видео [Guitar Lesson] Hirajoshi Scales, Modes & Licks

In this video, I’ll teach you the Hirajoshi scale (an exotic Japanese pentatonic scale), how to use it and several awesome Hirajoshi guitar licks.

The word Hirajoshi actually refers to a tuning system in classical Japanese music. Today, in the western world, we use the term to refer the Japanese pentatonic scale that is based on the same tuning.

The Hirajoshi scales (and its modes) can be used in a variety of styles, especially heavy metal. Guitar players Marty Friedman and Jason Becker created a lot of amazing songs and guitar solos using modes of the Hirajoshi scale.

First, I’ll teach you all 5 scales positions and modes of the Hirajoshi scale.

Second, I’ll show you where and how to use these scales and modes.

Third, you’ll learn 5 killer licks you can use to get that awesome exotic sound in a rock and metal guitar style (like Marty Friedman/Jason Becker).

Finally, I’ll show you some ways to make the scale even more exotic and awesome!

You can have fun for hours applying these ideas to your own guitar playing.
