Sautéed (or Fried) Apples

1/4 cup butter
4 large apples, peeled and cut into wedges
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Melt butter in a skillet. Add the apple wedges, cover, and cook over medium-low heat for 12 to 15 minutes. The apples should be fork tender.

Dissolve cornstarch in the water and add to apples. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Cook for an additional 2 to 5 minutes.
