FANUC America’s new M-2iA/3SL robot is designed for a variety of picking and handling applications for products up to three kilograms. The FANUC M-2iA/3SL is used to pick and place randomly-placed breather caps, an ideal application for this robot.

First, this application requires high speeds – The FANUC M-2iA’s unique delta-style or parallel link structure is built for speed, rapidly moving the parts from one conveyor to the other at an amazingly quick 182 parts per minute. Next, the application requires that the breather caps be placed in a uniform order on an outgoing conveyor, while conversely traveling to the robot in random order on an inbound conveyor. This robot is equipped with FANUC iRVision line tracking, which allows the robot to see the parts as they enter the system, detect their orientation, and accurately pick and place them in a uniform order, all on the fly. These features and more make FANUC America’s M-2iA Robot the ideal Delta Robot solution for pick and place applications.

This long arm, 3SL model of the FANUC M-2iA robot offers four axes of motion with a single axis rotation at the wrist; However the FANUC M-2iA/3SL is just one of many robots and robot variations available in FANUC’s full line of Delta Robots. To see more please visit http://www.fanucamerica.com.
