DKMS Donor Patient Meeting: Olivia and Katie

"I hope there isn't a day that goes by that you don't see all the good things that you were made for"

On her 18th birthday, nursing student Olivia went online to the DKMS website and registered as a blood stem cell donor. A regular blood donor, when Olivia was told about blood stem cell donation, she was fully on board.

A few years later, she was told she matched a young girl with Familial HLH and asked to donate. Without hesitation, she said yes. Olivia's stem cell donation went on to help Katie, who Olivia now calls her little sister, and the two have an unbreakable bond.
