The start of two days of competition happened with a 'shot gun start' on a beautiful Friday morning. Boats of various sizes headed out to the open Pacific to catch qualifying fish. Some crews were lucky, some were not and returned empty. This was the inaugural tournament for the boat "Tex Mex". (El inicio de dos días de competencia ocurrió con un 'inicio de disparo' en una hermosa mañana de viernes. Barcos de varios tamaños se dirigieron al Pacífico abierto para capturar peces calificados. Algunas tripulaciones tuvieron suerte, otras no y regresaron vacías. Este fue el torneo inaugural del barco "Tex Mex".)
