Tijdens de Duitse inval in Nederland in mei 1940 arriveerden geallieerde troepen in Nederland om tegen de Duitsers te vechten. Britse troepen gingen aan boord in de haven van Hoek van Holland en Franse troepen kwamen binnen via Noord-Brabant en Zeeland. Op 15 mei 1940 gaven de Nederlanders zich over. Wat was de rol van geallieerde troepen tijdens de Slag om Nederland? Konden zij het verschil maken of was de Nederlandse nederlaag onvermijdelijk?
