ABOUT THE BOOK

“Queens of Geek" by Jen Wilde is a YA contemporary book set at a big fandom convention.

Three friends travel across the world to attend a huge convention. Charlie is a vlogger and actress, Jamie is a photographer, and Taylor is a writer—all three are huge fans of a lot of fandoms. Four days doesn’t seem like a lot of time, but the welcoming environment causes new friendships, romance, and personal growth to develop quickly.

Representation notes: One main character is a Chinese-Australian bisexual girl who is moving past a bad breakup. The other main character is an autistic, plus-size girl with anxiety. One of the main character's crushes is a queer Black girl.
