Описание к видео PCOE SMD Program at Twelve Bridges High School

Inside a classroom like no other, there are small miracles every day as students find their voice. The Placer County Office of Education’s program at Twelve Bridges High School in Lincoln serves students with severe multiple disabilities. The program offers augmentative communication supports, physical and occupational therapy, and medical assistance for feeding, orientation and mobility – and a lot of love, compassion and care from highly-trained and dedicated staff.

The program, in partnership with local school districts, aligns curriculum and functional skills with academic standards while allowing for the unique developmental and medical needs of the students. Students are referred by their district of residence.
