This lecture focuses on the major topics and management principles that parents need to know when professionals engage in counseling and training parents of youth having Oppositional Defiant Disorder (with or without ADHD). Dr. Barkley will use his own family training program, Defiant Teens, to summarize the issues involved in ODD in youth and reviews key management methods from this program. Finally, the limitations of family training will be addressed.
