Daily Life in the Warsaw Ghetto

Описание к видео Daily Life in the Warsaw Ghetto

The Nazis recorded the Warsaw Ghetto as they dumped hundreds of thousands of Jews there as another step towards the total destruction of the Jewish communities of Europe. Yet, for the Jews in the Ghetto, it was the challenge of adapting to horrible unimaginable conditions of the "new normal". This class deals with the challenges of creating continuity in a world of total chaos as understood through Nazi generated photographs and descriptions of the Oyneg Shabbos archives. This was the third lecture in the 10-week lecture series in partnership with St. Kilde Shule, October-December 2020, delivered by Yael Eaglstein, Educational Coordinator for the Gandel Holocaust Studies Program for Australian Educators, International School for Holocaust Studies
