1972 Oklahoma vs Texas

This is The 10/14/1972 Oklahoma vs Texas Game. It is a color film with Oklahoma Radio Audio. Bob Berry and Jack Ogle. After dominating for years The Longhorns lost the 71 game and Oklahoma contended for The National Championship instead of Texas. This game in 72 touched off one of the most Bitter periods in The Rivalry. Oklahoma Spied on Texas Practices and blocked a quick kick that ultimately led to victory. This game was much closer than the final score indicated. For a second year in a row Oklahoma would finish #2 in the polls. The Longhorns rallied to #3 at the end of the season. The winning streak Oklahoma had started in 71 carried over and eventually led to Darell Royal hanging it up after a tie in 76. Another game where Spying was alleged to have occurred. The Sooners would spend a couple of years on Probation in the early 70's as well. The bitterness has always been there but this is when it was at a peak. I claim no rights to the film or the radio but I did author this combination.
