Jack Teagarden and Benny Goodman 1933 World Demo - I Gotta Right to Sing the Blues

Описание к видео Jack Teagarden and Benny Goodman 1933 World Demo - I Gotta Right to Sing the Blues

Here is another very rare recording done as a Demo by the World Broadcasting Transcription Service in mid to late October of 1933. The tune is "I Gotta Right to Sing the Blues" which was composed by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Ted Koehler. This version is NOT to be confused with the same title recorded by BG and JT for Columbia Records in the same time frame. However the mostly known personnel is similar for both sessions. Besides Goodman and Teagarden the band consists of Charlie Teagarden and Mannie Klein on trumpets, Art Karle on tenor sax, Dick McDonough on guitar, Art Bernstein on bass and Gene Krupa at the drums. The pianist is believed to be either Frank Froeba or Arthur Schutt. Excellent Fidelity! See another video from the same session under Benny Goodman and Jack Teagarden - Ain't-cha Glad.
