How Creativity Helps Me Process Life - Cinematic film

The more and more I make films, cinematic or not, the more I realise how important creativity is as a way of helping me process my life. In similar ways that therapy, or journaling, or an empathetic conversation with a friend can help us detangle our thoughts and gain clarity, I strongly believe that the act of creating can help us achieve a new understanding of what we've experienced. Whether it's in the form of writing, drawing, painting, singing, dancing, filmmaking, photography, or any other mediums, externalising & expressing our internal experiences can provide us with a new perspective.

I particularly like filmmaking & video editing because it gives me the ability to capture things in a particular way, and piece together certain clips to essentially craft my own narrative.
