Tombs and Terraces: A Pre-Cubs Walk Around Historic Wrigleyville Chicago 4K

Описание к видео Tombs and Terraces: A Pre-Cubs Walk Around Historic Wrigleyville Chicago 4K

This evening, we've got prime tickets to see the Chicago Cubs play the San Francisco Giants at historic Wrigley Field. But the surrounding Wrigleyville neighbourhood offers plenty of interesting pre-game activity as well. We take the CTA Red Line from the Loop to the Sheridan station to visit two interesting historic places and savour the lively neighbourhood ambiance before a Cubs baseball game. We start with the nearby Alta Vista district and follow up with a brief walk through Graceland Cemetery, just north of Wrigleyville. Gail is your knowledgeable guide throughout and I'm sure you'll be inspired by her enthusiastic presentation as we visit the grave sites of notable architects and city planners who left their distinctive imprints on the urban fabric of Chicago. We're talking William Le Baron Jenney, Louis Sullivan, Howard van Doren Shaw, Mies Van der Rohe and Richard Nickel.

Enjoy!
