Watch the inaugural bus journey of Murahara Scania Semi Sleeper bus on Bangalore to Kollam route. The bus started its inaugural run on the 18th of February, 2023 i.e on Mahashivratri day. Murahara had recently bought two Scania Semi Sleeper buses from Greenline Travels. They planned to run on18th to cater to the passengers during the festival season. Hence, a bit of Murahara Logo & stickering was still pending. The other Scania bus is pink in colour. Our bus was speed locked at 100 whereas the Pink Scania is speed locked at 85 kmph. Both the Scania buses are as of now running on Bangalore to Kollam route. However, they go via different routes. The 7 pm bus i.e. my bus goes via Nagercoil - Trivandrum and then towards Kollam. Whereas the 10 pm Scania bus goes via Ernakulam towards Kollam. The bus was really well maintained and done around 1 lakh kilometers on the Odometer. I really like the Scania buses are I personally find them to be more comfortable than Volvo Semi Sleeper buses. Also there's good space for me to shoot from the cabin. Our bus was scheduled to reach Trivandrum by 6:30 am however the bus was late and we reached by 8:15 am. Infact the Murahara Volvo Sleeper bus reached before us at 7:20 am as informed by one of the bus crew. The bus was running one hour late from Salem itself. However, Im sure it will be doing better timings after the inaugural trip. As usually there's some or the other confusion in the inaugural journey. I got down at Trivandrum so that I could catch the return train for Bangalore. Moreover, I had already done Bangalore to Kollam by the Green Murahara Sleeper bus.
