So finally the much-requested bus journey is done. Watch my bus journey from Thiruvananthapuram to Goa by the popular bus Travels of Kerala i.e Murahara Travels. I got a lot of requests to cover this bus journey. Experience the coastal route from start to end. Starting from Thiruvananthapuram and ending at Goa. This is a very scenic and long journey. Long mainly due to the narrow Kerala roads, which makes it difficult to maintain time. The total distance is of approximately 885 kms but it takes 23 -24 hours to cover this route. From start to end it goes via the beautiful NH 66 route. This yellow Murahara Bus was the first bus I travelled in from Thiruvananthapuram to Bangalore. Murahara has always been one of my favourite travels of Kerala. I have travelled many times with Arun anna on the same route. These buses now run daily from Thiruvananthapuram to Goa and back. The yellow & blue Volvo B11R Semi Sleeper buses run on this route. This bus has got good response, especially for people travelling to Mangalore and nearby cities. It gets good occupancy both ways. The starting point from Thiruvananthapuram is RTT Hub in Thampanoor. A pickup Volvo bus will pick up passengers till Kollam, from there you would be transferred to the Volvo B11R buses. So basically the Volvo buses start & end their journey at Kollam. The pickup bus was also a Volvo AC semi-sleeper manual bus. The scheduled time of this bus to reach Goa is 11 am or so. However, our bus reached the last stop Mapusa (Goa) at 1:15 pm. ALmost 2 hours late. This was mainly due to Kochi city traffic and a lot of time wasted in Mahe traffic. The drivers maintained a good speed throughout the journey but cant do anything if there's traffic and narrow roads. As soon as the bus reaches Goa, it then again has to leave for Thiruvananthapuram by 2 pm.
