Today we are talking about the Expedition North Pole 1 from Vostok Europe. It is a staple of the Vostok Europe collection, and as with all Vostok Europe watches, there is a story behind the it. In the 1930s, an expedition set forth and built a station that floated in the Arctic Sea for nine months, breaking records and traveling vast distances. It would gather praise and accolades for years to come.

The Expedition North Pole 1 watch has many stand-out characteristics. It comes in two sizes- 43 mm and 48 mm. Each Expedition is a sturdy 17 mm thick. In addition, each is also certified to 20 ATM. This watch’s crystal possesses the gorilla glass system, also known as the K-1 system. What this is referring to is the crystal of the watch. Gorilla glass sits on the mohs scale between sapphire and mineral, so it gets the scratch-resistance of sapphire, and the shatter resistance of mineral. The crystal is four mm thick, which is very impressive and quite rare.

The Expedition North Pole 1 has a 6S21 Miyota high-end quartz chronograph movement. Important to note is that this is a hybrid movement, encompassing mechanical parts along with the traditional quartz parts. It has a full-function chronograph, allowing you to measure an event for up to 60 minutes. The Expedition also has a date function. In a more aesthetic vein, this watch features a bracelet option. The bracelet is solid, thick, and impressive. In addition to the leather and the bracelet, this offer will also come with two silicon straps, and a NATO.
