What does it mean to have a design system in a publication? Do you come up with it first? And how do you develop the pacing in a book? In this episode Joshua answers some questions from Intro to Typography student Brian DeSimone about some of the ideas that came up in a critique of zine projects. While the answers might be specifically about book design they'll likely have relevance for students who are studying media where ideas unfold over time like motion graphics and web design.
