How to fix sloppy steering is one of the biggest questions with squarebody chevy trucks. In this video, I install the Wolff Engineering M109SS Lower Steering Column Cartridge Bearing in my 1982 Chevy K5 Blazer. In order to do that I remove the stock steering column bearing, do a side-by-side comparison of the old bearing vs the upgraded bearing, prep the steering shaft surface, and install the new bearing. At the end of the video, I review the difference this upgrade makes and show a before and after of the results. The bearing is a sealed radial bearing that will last the vehicle, uses a collar that prevents the steering column jacket from splaying, and uses 4 set screws that engage the shaft creating a pseudo interference fit and eliminates any play.
