Is Kuta, Bali worth visiting? || Indonesias best known Surf destination

Before coming to Indonesia, we had been told by numerous people to avoid Kuta as it is now supposedly the most dangerous area in Bali. We ignored advice and went to see for ourselves what Kuta was really like in 2024. We walked along Kuta Beach, explored beachwalk shopping mall, tried to visit the turtle sanctuary, stopped at the Bali Bomb Memorial and then went a bit further afield to discover 2 more beaches, Pandawa and Dreamland.

We really enjoyed Kuta and although we can't vouch for the accomodation or nightlife would definitely recommend adding at least a day there in your Bali itinerary.
