45-To Varnish or Not to Varnish-That is our Question! Cold Wax & Oil- A demo of GamVar varnish and a final varnish of clear cold wax and answering the question of whether or not to varnish an oil and cold wax painting! Products to use for a final varnish.

A note from Gamblin on GamVar----"As a general rule, a painting containing 1/3 or less Cold Wax Medium in mixture with oil colors may be varnished with Gamvar Picture Varnish. If the Cold Wax content in an oil painting exceeds 1/3, it is susceptible to dissolving when varnish is applied. A painting containing high percentages of wax may be varnished with a thin rubbed-on layer of Cold Wax Medium."
