F-20 Tigershark was a single-engine, supersonic fighter aircraft developed by Northrop Corporation in the early 1980s. It was designed to be a lightweight, versatile, and affordable fighter aircraft for export to foreign countries. The F-20 had advanced avionics and was capable of air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. It had a top speed of Mach 2.0 and a range of over 1,000 miles. However, the F-20 failed to attract significant sales and only two prototypes were built, making it one of the few aircraft that never entered mass production. The project was eventually cancelled due to budget constraints and competition from other aircraft such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Yeager famous for being the first pilot to fly faster than the speed of sound on October 14, 1947. He served in World War II as a fighter pilot and shot down several enemy aircraft. After the war, he became a test pilot and was involved in the development of the X-1 experimental aircraft. Yeager retired from the Air Force in 1975 with the rank of Brigadier General. He passed away on December 7, 2020 at the age of 97.
