LATE DRAMA!: Charlton Athletic 1-0 Accrington Stanley

Charlton we’re looking to close the gap on the front-runners against Accrington Stanley, who were sitting in 14th and had gone winless in their three.

A poor first half made Accrington look like the better side, as we couldn’t string together any decent chances. The second half we turned the screw and dominated the second half. Then, it was all drama. Two very controversial sending off’s for Taylor and Stanley keeper Maxted started the chain of events that followed. A blatant handball led to Karlan Grant dispatching a 93rd minute winner, putting Charlton four points behind the league leaders Pompey. Safe to say no one is impressed with Accrington’s conduct.
