Carnival Cruise Lines hit by ransomware attack | Cyber Protection Operation Center News

Carnival, the world's largest cruise line operator, which owns 100 ships and has 120'000 employees got attacked by an undisclosed ransomware.
In a SEC filing the company revealed that the attackers encrypted some systems and stole personal data of employees and customers on August 15th.
Carnival said it expects no interruption of its business processes but prepares for potential claims from partners and customers.

Acronis Cyber Protect utilizes advanced heuristics to monitor and block new ransomware before it can inflict any damage.
