Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba | Behind the Stage | December 1996

The Christmas celebrations of 1996 were memorable in several ways. But perhaps few experienced more bliss in that time than the children and devotees who participated in the overseas Balvikas Christmas Drama in the Poornachandra Auditorium on the evening of Christmas Eve, Dec 24. The drama, entitled, "The Harlequins at Christmas," was about a boy named Danny who, with the help of mystical creatures called the Harlequins, spreads the message of love and joy of Bhagawan to all the children suffering in today's world. While this video does not show that drama, we see precious glimpses of Bhagawan with all of the drama participants behind the stage of the Poornachandra Auditorium. Laughter, jokes, and pure joy is the hallmark of this video, as Swami spreads Christmas cheer to each of them. He blesses all the staff, including the musicians, granting prasadam in the form of chocolates, cloth pieces, and above all, His Divine Proximity. We offer our thanks to Mr James Redmond who has filmed these rare behind the scenes shots for all of us to feel like we are in His home and a part of His ever expanding family!
