Neil Diamond - Hello Again

A beautiful song from the movie "The Jazz Singer" (released Dec.1980). The song is not difficult to understand, it's a love-song as most of Neil Diamond's songs are. A lover away from the one he loves (for whatever reason, an argument perhaps?), missing her deeply, unable to sleep and wishing to hear her voice on the phone. I guess most people can relate to the excitement of "that" voice on the phone, especially when one is young and miles away from the one they love.
Every song from this movie was sung with depth and passion, and this one is no different. As the last few videos were becoming too Neil-centric, I decided to use some random images and videos. But as deeply and sincerely grateful as I am for the available images/videos (all really, truly amazing!), I know that somehow it makes a subtle difference. Because Neil's face and expressions BEST tell the stories of his songs, that is just how it is. He may not be generally touted as one, but he is a natural performer and story-teller! Even he did not know that, it just so happened that while singing he felt it all so much that the story flowed from his face and eyes.
The meaning of the song in this video remains unchanged from the movie, I suppose. The video may not feel overly deep when one views it - but my feelings about the song? Now, that's a different story. I believe it's the same for all ND fans.
