Mummenschanz Collection on Letterman, 1985-86

Another Chris Elliott parody, launched within yet another Chris Elliott parody.

Mummenschanz consisted of:

Fork (“Ingrid/Gretchen”): Gerard Mulligan
Hot Dog (“Helmaut/Hans”): Matt Wickline
Spoon (“Klaus”): Sandy Frank
Toilet Paper (“Gunther”): Chris Elliott

1. November 7, 1985. Chris Elliott's running "Fugitive Guy" character in a solo Mummenschanz performance of "The Upcoming Summit: A Plea for Peace."
With Tom Merrick as Chris's son and Matt Wickline as the one-legged man.*

2. June 18, 1986. First full-ensemble "Mummenschanz" performance: "The Chernobyl Incident: When Will This Hell End?" With Chris's first impersonation of Jay Leno.**

3. September 30, 1986. Surprise walk-on to promote the troupe's new TV series, "Mummensquad." "Helmaut" has changed his name to "Hans," and "Ingrid" to "Gretchen." They brought a clip.
