You can hang out with Germ during the day time on the far west side of town by the abandoned Food Donkey. If you hang out with him enough he'll ask Mae for her full name in Greg's apartment and talk about his home getting you the He's From Somewhere achievement. There is a scene removed from the game with him I have at 21:18. I'll leave that for you to discern if it actually counts.
