Mentor Mastery Reflections

July will mark two years since we launched the Mentor Mastery program as a part of our Clinic Mastery offering and today I’d like to share with you some of the key learnings throughout this journey.

Being an amazing clinician does not correlate to being a great mentor - they are two entirely different skill sets.
Being a great mentor is a skill that can be learnt
Not everyone who is a senior therapist should be a mentor - and that’s okay!
The evolving relationship as someone moves into a mentor/leadership role is one of the key hurdles your team will face
The ability to navigate tough conversations is at the core of being a successful mentor
There needs to be a fair and reasonable remuneration structure for your mentors to make it a win-win for all involved
It’s not an overnight process, however it is a worthwhile endeavour for your long term business objectives
