Domantas Sabonis - Point Center 19/20

Domantas Sabonis. 2020 NBA All-Star. 2x Lithuanian Player of the Year. 2015 EuroBasket Silver Medalist. The 2019-20 season saw Sabonis post career numbers across the board. Domas dominated the glass, ranking 5th in the league in rebounds. He led his team in rebounds, scoring, and was second on the team in assists with 5.0 per game. He also finished in the top 20 in the league in field goal percentage, minutes per game, win shares, value over replacement player, and was a top 10 player in the league in terms of defensive win shares. Domantas does just about everything for the Pacers. He is the focal point of their offense, the center of their attack as it were. Besides having a jumper with ever expanding range, he’s a banger with the ability to score any number of ways around the basket. Domas also exhibits his ability to make passes that would make his father proud.

Sabonis sparks the Pacers offense with his ability to make the right reads. His fantastic footwork allows him to create advantages other players might not have even have the foresight to make happen. His relative ambidexterity deftly deceives defenses into thinking they’ve contained him. His ability to handle some allows him to create chances confidently off the bounce and even lead the break at times.

They are indispensable hubs on both ends. Well-rounded bigs provide a ready-made identity -- a look and feel and style teams can fall back on and build atop. Sabonis is probably a little better on offense -- a back-to-the-basket bully, and slightly more polished passer.”
