Travelling across Egypt with family: from Hurghada to Luxor & Cairo

Our journey began with a delightful stay at Jaz Aquaviva Makadi Bay, where we experienced the perfect balance of relaxation and excitement. The hotel is conveniently located just 25 minutes from Hurghada airport and is undoubtedly one of the best hotels we've ever visited.

This hotel has something to offer for everyone. We enjoyed spending most of our time at the adults-only terrace featuring a restaurant and pool, while our two girls aged 10 and 12 spent most of their time at the enormous Makadi Waterpark located within the hotel. With over 50 different slides, it is one of the largest waterparks in Egypt.

Our grandparents enjoyed mingling between the bars, numerous pools, restaurants, and private beach, which was just a short ride away from the hotel.

After eight nights of luxury relaxation, we ventured into Hurghada town to savor local food at Al Dar Darak restaurant and explore Hurghada Marina before diving into the ancient wonders of Luxor.

Thanks to Britannia VIP Egypt, our day in Luxor is nothing short of extraordinary. We marvel at the grandeur of Karnak Temple, cruise the Nile River, and explore the Valley of the Kings and the temple of Hatshepsut. As night falls, Luxor Temple comes alive with a magical glow that leaves us in awe.

On the way to Luxor we've left our iPad at the hotel in Hurghada ( 4 hours away from Luxor) which the owner of Shellghada hotel kindly let us know about. Ahmet from Britannia VIP Egypt managed to deliver our iPad in person the following day!! Anybody who is looking for an exceptional travel agency in Egypt please look no further, service we've received from those guys was simply Amazing!

We decided to avoid the busy east bank with its popular hotels and opted for the west bank to experience the local culture. We found a wonderful hotel called Thebes Hotel that offers stunning views of the Valley of the Kings. The hotel has a rooftop swimming pool and restaurant that made our stay even better. After exploring the rich history of Luxor, we flew to Cairo to see the majestic pyramids, instead of taking a long 8-hour bus ride.

Avoid booking flights with Nesma Air. They changed our flight schedule with less than 24-hour notice. Luckily, we were able to book another flight with Egypt Air.

The Pyramids of Giza, the last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the World, are simply breathtaking. The size and beauty of the pyramids will take your breath away. The only negative aspect of the experience is the fact that there are many local people selling everything from souvenirs to camel and horse rides, and they won't take no for an answer. However, this was only a small price to pay for the amazing experience of seeing the pyramids in person.
