VABB or vacuum assisted breast biopsy is one of the most advanced surgical procedures to deal with breast lumps. Usually the first thought around a breast lump is that it might be the initial indication of breast cancer. While breast cancer is alarmingly popular among women in India, only 14% of all breast lumps lead to cancer, so benign cases are highly common. But since these lumps are on the breasts, it is obvious that women are more anxious about the removal as well. Therefore a scar less removal is always preferred which is why this VABB has heavy preference.
Vacuum Assisted Breast Biopsy is particularly opted for in cases where the patient is too young. For young age patients, fibroadenoma or benign lumps are a highly common occurrence.
