People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), many with complex needs, lack equitable access to palliative care, including providers with confidence and competency in IDD palliative care.

This session welcomes all disciplines and will introduce attendees to Palliative Care “Good Practice” for People Living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The session will cover IDD specific considerations for a palliative care approach including Earlier ID, IDD specific tools, pain and symptom management, and future-looking advocacy.
