Dwarf Fortress: Premium Edition - Building a water source and reservoir for hospital

Quick overview of my fort.

Trying to show how I made my hospital/well water source.

No narration because I hate my voice.

In text:
1. First, I set up the "main floor" of my fortress (tavern, tomb, hospital, bedrooms, guilds)
2. beneath this, I dug a 5x5 hole
3. I channeled this 5x5 hole's 3x3 center
4. I channeled the center of the 5x5 hole on main floor (well goes here)
5. I went below the 5x5 hole, and repeated. I channeled its center (placed flood hatch there, and connected to a lever)
6. on the mid-layer of reservoir, I set up my screw pumps
7. beneath screw pumps I built an input stream
8. I dug diagonally from this short input stream (this avoids flooding by resetting water pressure. This is CRITICAL. otherwise, you'll end up flooding everything)
9. From the diagonal dig, I dug out JUST BARELY to the river
10. I dug a chair up to nearby the river
11. I got super closer to river
12. Once everything was set up, I channeled a single tile near the river from the surface (this way, no dwarves get drowned)

importantly: I forbade all stone and coal within the input channels.
